How to Wash:
All garments made by That Lit Witch are recommended to be dry clean only or washed only with a damp cloth unless otherwise stated. The boning in the stays is either high-quality Regiline or steel. Both types of boning are not designed to be placed in the wash and can warp, rust, or bend.
How to Store:
Skirts can be stored on a hanger, but bodices and gowns are best stored flat with plenty of space to ensure they are not warped, bent, or smooshed. If boning of any sort is bent, it runs a high risk of not being bent back to its original state. Take great care in the preservation of your garments.
Do Not Share (As Much As We May Want To Share!)
“Oh, I love your outfit! Can I borrow it?!”
Your answer to this question, no matter who’s asking it, should always be a firm “No.” Corsets, stays, bodices, and their wearers enjoy an almost symbiotic relationship. Not only will a corset that you have taken the time and effort to get used to look far different on a different body as it has become seasoned and molded to your body specifically, even if they’re a similar size to you, but it will also run the risk of leaving the corset misshapen. Your corset will have adapted to your body shape over time, and as your friend begins to wear it, it will begin to adapt to their body shape.
